O.H.S.O. Prep Cook

Prep Cook is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant has food prepped for service at all times. Using tools such as spec recipes, cutting practices, safety practices, and the date machine, the Prep Cook will properly prepare for all culinary needs, keep the prep sheet updated to avoid over or under‑prepping, and practice F.I.F.O. (First In, First Out) at all times. Responsibilities Prepping sauces Preparing proteins (bulk bacon, brisket, short rib, etc.) Keeping the kitchen and walk‑in areas clean and organized at all times Assisting the dishwashers when business dictates Cutting and slicing many menu items for service Ensuring dates of product are always within range of expiration Properly labeling all prepared goods for reference Portioning prepared goods Maintaining high quality standards for all produced prep items Requirements Food Handler Certification Able to stand on feet for 5‑8 hours at a time Teamwork oriented Punctual Benefits Cost‑shared medical, vision, and dental insurance (full‑time equivalent only, after 6‑month probationary period) Free shift meal 50% off food discounts Yearly holiday party Category: Food & Beverage Location: O.H.S.O.
