Key Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist

• Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with established department protocols.
• Prepare and orient patients to procedures to be performed.
• Provide patient care within the Radiology Department while ensuring radiation protection.
• Operate imaging equipment, computer, and other department equipment.
• Maintain written and computerized documentation as per department and hospital policy.
• Maintain and exhibit a current knowledge of radiologic technology.

Requirements of the Radiologic Technologist

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Minimum one year of experience, which can be substituted with clinical education experience.
• ARRT and New Mexico State licenses required.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association required.
