Coordinator (EHS) - Construction (Data Center Fitout)

Our client, Construction / Data Center Lease Fitout industry is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator – Construction to join their team. As an EHS Coordinator – Construction, you will be part of the Project Delivery / Health & Safety team supporting construction site operations and project management stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Coordinator (EHS) – Construction (Data Center Fitout) Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Pay Range: $66.19 – $71.30 per hour What’s the Job? Review and assess health & safety implications of ongoing construction changes and activities Develop and implement reporting and communication structures for H&S performance across the project Attend and participate in planning, coordination, and safety meetings with site personnel and management Conduct independent health & safety audits to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations Identify, assess, and evaluate high-risk activities while ensuring corrective actions are implemented What’s Needed? 5–8 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/EHS) within construction environments Experience in commercial construction and/or data center construction projects Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and site compliance requirements High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Science, or related field preferred) Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast‑paced site environment What’s in it for me?
