The organization operates in a fast-paced environment and is committed to quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while offering employees opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the business.Job DescriptionLead and direct second-shift production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality programs, GMPs, HACCP, and other applicable manufacturing standards. Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment operation procedures. Conduct daily start-up and shutdown activities, complete shift documentation, and maintain accurate production records. Identify and resolve production issues while coordinating with maintenance and leadership teams as needed. Train, mentor, and develop employees to improve performance, engagement, and operational effectiveness. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Human Resources, and other departments to support efficient operations and smooth shift transitions. Consistently administer attendance, performance, and workplace policies. Participate in inventory activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support business objectives through cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. The company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.The Successful ApplicantA successful 2nd Shift Production Supervisor should have:High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree, technical certification, or related education preferred.Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety requirements.Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.Ability to motivate, coach, and develop production teams.Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.Experience in a growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus.Proven ability to drive results through teamwork, accountability, and influence.What's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 USD annually.Comprehensive 401(k) retirement plan.Permanent, full-time position based in Will County, Illinois.Interested?
