Medical Doctor/Physician - Pharmacist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Inpatient Pharmacist responsible for providing medication management support across hospital units, including ICU, L&D, Med/Surg, and ED. The role requires independent work, including weekends, in a critical access hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and adjust treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and review medication protocols.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage, including Omnicell systems.
• Document all pharmaceutical activities thoroughly in Meditech and other electronic systems.
• Support clinical initiatives and provide medication education to staff and patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New Hampshire Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience; 2-5 years preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech and familiarity with Omnicell systems.
• Have active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Possess previous critical access hospital experience highly preferred.
• Be committed to working independently, including rotating weekends.
