Description What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and advanced tests in clinical laboratoriescovering areas like chemistry, hematology, immunology, and morefollowing established protocols with precision.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, address any errors, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for analysis when necessary.
• Keep detailed records of all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment and adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within a year of employment.
• Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment.
