Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse with a specialization in Geriatric Psychology to provide exceptional care during day shifts. This role requires a compassionate professional skilled in managing and supporting patients with behavioral health needs in a short-term acute care hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Implement milieu management strategies to foster a safe and therapeutic environment.
Administer medication management and monitor patient responses.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with nursing standards and protocols.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid Ohio or Compact Nursing License at the time of submission.
Minimum of 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience within a short-term acute care hospital.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with patients and families.

Shift and Schedule

This position is for day shifts, specifically 3 shifts totaling 12 hours each, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
