About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)

Augusta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a Renal Medical Surgical unit
• Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients within a 49-room unit with an average daily census of 48
• Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology with interdisciplinary team members
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday obligations per assignment schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic (required)
• Ability to complete all compliance and onboarding documentation by the required deadlines prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Renal or Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
