About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Bethel, Alaska. The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients of all ages and diagnoses within the occupational therapy scope of practice.

The position may include long-term care coverage, home visits, and travel to surrounding villages. The OT will develop evidence-based treatment plans, collaborate closely with medical providers, and adapt interventions based on each patient's functional needs, age, and clinical condition.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on functional needs and clinical goals.

• Provide inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy services across a broad range of patient ages and diagnoses.

• Modify treatment plans according to patient progress while incorporating evidence-based occupational therapy practices.

• Educate patients and families and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide occupational therapy services during home visits, village travel, and long-term care coverage as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 Years of Occupational Therapist Experience Required.

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher From an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program Required.

• Current Alaska Occupational Therapist License Required, or Current OT License in Another State With Alaska Licensure in Process.

• Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification and BLS Certification Required.

• Ability to Provide Inpatient, Outpatient, Home-Based, and Village-Based Care; Completed COVID Vaccination Requirements Must Be Met.
