Job Summary and Qualifications As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our facility you will find out what it truly means to be a part of a collaborative team. In this role, under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist with treatment delivery and patient care. Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in administering modalities and treatments prescribed by a licensed physician. Collaborate with Physical Therapists to understand current treatment philosophy and procedures for a variety of injuries, diseases and disabilities. Help patients reach maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participate in department improvement activities. Deliver appropriate care to a variety of patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or BCLS Instructor, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Acute and rehabilitation experience of one year is preferred.
