Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Join our collaborative care team. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, you will provide professional, skilled, age-specific nursing care for patients alongside physicians and other medical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Care : Perform patient-related tasks and daily ADLs under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical Tasks : Check vital signs and assist with clinical procedures as requested.
• Communication : Observe patient conditions and report changes immediately to the supervising Nurse or Physician.
• Documentation : Record all patient interactions accurately in the medical record.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88

The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Qualifications

Education:

• Prefer a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

• Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.

Specialized Training:

• Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.

Certification/Licensure:

• Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bilingual is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
• Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
