About the Department of Radiation Oncology The NYU Department of Radiation Oncology is a core component of the Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC), delivering state‑of‑the‑art care using advanced technologies. Clinical services are provided across three Manhattan sites, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, treating more than 4,000 new patients each year. The department includes 20 clinical faculty and 13 Ph.D. medical physicists. ACGME‑accredited four‑year residency and CAMPEP‑accredited two‑year residency in medical physics are offered. Faculty co‑lead disease‑specific multidisciplinary teams within the cancer center and manage an extensive clinical trial portfolio.
