Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in accordance with the RN scope of practice and facility policies.
• Monitor patient status, perform timely assessments, and manage telemetry as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies, document in the electronic health record, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; communicate with physicians and other staff; escalate changes promptly.
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote safe transitions of care.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and quality standards consistent with state regulations and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Current Maine RN license (active)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting; strong communication skills; team-oriented and able to multi-task
