Job Description
As a Security Officer Checkpoint Inspector in Willington, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen personnel and/or visitors, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. - Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report findings through appropriate channels.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter, with duties varying based on site conditions and business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
