* Job Summary Job ID 291762 Position # 20006569 The Medical College of Georgia's Department of Emergency Medicine at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine will participate in instruction, oversight, and academic progress of Emergency Medicine residents, Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows, and medical students. This position will take an active role in resident, medical student, and fellow education concurrent with patient care. The desired candidate should be willing to commit to 13-15 shifts in the Emergency Department each month and take 1-2 calls per month and meet all core faculty requirements as outline by the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position will be responsible for completing timely and formal evaluations as needed. The position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track. Responsibilities Clinical

Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be: - Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation; - Evidence of ability as a teacher; - Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned; - Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and, - Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
