We are a seafood processor and distributor to the foodservice industry in south Louisiana. We are located in Baton Rouge and are seeking a Food Service Sales Representative in the Lafayette area to join our team! Sales areas include Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Hammond, Northshore, New Orleans, and all points in between. You will be responsible for generating new sales accounts and creating a mutual relationship with customers for ongoing sales. Also, assisting customers by providing product and service information and by resolving questions or issues. There is a guaranteed base salary (commensurate with experience) drawn against commission that is assessed weekly. The opportunity is there to make $100,000 and beyond per year. We do not limit you to territories or earning caps. The only thing between you and $$$$$$ is you and your effort.
Responsibilities:
Cold call on prospective customers and generate new sales
Provide information about the products and services
Document and update customer records based on interactions
Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, customer service, sales, or other related fields
Posses drive to earn more money
Ability to assess customer's needs
Ability to build rapport with clients
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Positive and professional demeanor
Reliable transportation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
strong math skills and ability to negotiate
