The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for property casualty risk management? As a Claims Support Specialist at M3 Insurance, you'll play a vital role in supporting our P&C Risk Management team by managing claims activity, coordinating with clients and carriers, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This position offers an excellent blend of technical claims support and administrative coordination - making it a great fit for someone looking to grow their career in insurance claims.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Support the Risk Management Department with new claim intake and carrier claims updates, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in Applied Epic.
- Manage and coordinate workers' compensation claim reviews, keeping clients and carriers aligned throughout the process.
- Serve as a reliable backup resource for claims facilitation during high-demand periods or team member absences.
- Provide real-time guidance to clients on claim handling processes and connect them with the right contacts when needed.
- Obtain loss information from clients and forward proper loss documents to assigned carriers in a timely manner.
- Monitor open losses and proactively follow up to drive prompt closure.
- Collaborate with Claims Advisors, Senior Claims Advisors, Senior Manager - Claims, and the Vice President of P&C Operations to deliver seamless service.
- Provide periodic administrative and technical support to the broader Risk Management team.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- A background in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or Insurance, with a minimum of one year of GL, Auto, or Property claims experience preferred.
- High school diploma required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license in accordance with M3's motor vehicle safety policy.
- Property and Casualty License, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-oriented approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with a proactive, results-driven attitude.
