RN - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, RCIS, RRT Must-Have: Experienced scrubExperienced to monitor Description:Our hours are from 06:00 to 16:30 with a rotating off-day each week.The unit has one Cath/EP Lab.The team consists of 6 staff members.Staff includes RNs and Cath Lab Techs.Day shift comprises 5 RNs and 1 Tech.Night shift requires a rotating on-call schedule with a minimum of 3 team members.At least one RN is required in the call rotation; the other two can be RNs or Techs.Patient ratios are 1:1 per team.The equipment used includes GE, Mac Lab, and Abbott Ensite XEMR Mac Lab. Typical procedures performed include:Left Heart CathPCIPacemakerICD ImplantsTEECardioversionLoop RecordersEP StudiesEP Ablations, including Amulets Best personality fit for this role includes:Attention to detailCalm under pressureTeam playerCompassionate and patient-centeredAdaptability and flexibilityStrong communication skillsPhysical stamina Floating areas include:Ability to float to help within the facility where skill set is applicable.Opportunity to float to sister facilities within a reasonable radius.
