Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of emergency patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to department standards
• Float to other units as needed in support of facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Experience in a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving environment
• Willingness to float as required
• Ability to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or training (recommended but not required)
