Diesel Bus Mechanic

Description Academy Busis seeking a full-time Bus Mechanic Level A/B for our Atlanta, GA location. $2500 sign on bonus. Every Friday is pay day! Job Details Pay rate starting from $27.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level. 1st and 2nd shift available. Responsibilities Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance Inspections and road tests Warranty and repair documentation Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages. Respond to road calls Basic welding/fabrication Class B Mechanics will assist Level Mechanics with skilled work and train/supervise C Level Mechanics Class A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners Requirements

• B) 4-7 years of diesel engine maintenance
• A) 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
• A) Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment

Proven ability to use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instruments Must have experience working with heavy duty Volvo engines, vehicle HVAC and exhaust aftertreatment skills Must have own tools according to level Valid driver's license Basic computer skills CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription and Life insurance Supplemental coverages 401K plan Paid time off and holiday pay Academy is an equal opportunity employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Academy Bus
