Temporary Sustainability Assistant This is a temporary position in the Office of Sustainability reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer and the Sustainability Coordinator. The assistant provides skilled assistance on various sustainability projects, including data analysis, report creation, and design and promotion of student engagement materials. Perform data analysis and create reports. Create and promote student engagement materials. Assist in organizing, planning, and scheduling work to obtain required information or complete tasks. Research relevant subject material. Communicate desired outcomes, create action plans, and engage campus community. Provide outreach through presentations, tabling, social media, and professional engagement. Assist in overseeing sustainability program operations, including shift coverage, work‑study oversight, Seahawk Trail System management, and assigned activities. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent with at least three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience with office software programs. Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a sustainability‑related field, or three years of relevant, professional‑level work experience in a related field. Knowledge of UNCW policies and procedures, or ability to apply them. Working knowledge of GIS and associated software. Working knowledge of media marketing and outreach.
