Position Experienced Production/Inventory Coordinator to support the Space Launch System (SLS) Program in New Orleans, LA. Location NASA Michoud Assembly Facility, New Orleans, Louisiana. Position Responsibilities Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production, and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc. Monitors and analyzes work in process. Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems. Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to ensure parts availability. Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy. Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays. Works under limited supervision. Minimum Education Required High School/GED. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). More than 3 years of experience in the materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8‑hour shift. Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift. 1 year or more experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) 1 year or more experience working in a computer‑based inventory management system or warehouse management system. Experience working on NASA programs. Experience in supply chain concepts and best practices.
