What you'll do at DBH:
Medication Administration & Patient Education: Administer medications and provide education to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and wellness strategies. Empower individuals to actively participate in their recovery and treatment goals.
Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Observe, assess, and document patient behaviors, physical and mental health status, and responses to medications and interventions. Monitor vital signs, treatment progress, and participation in therapeutic activities to support positive patient outcomes.
Clinical Care & Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress. Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the treatment team and assist with care planning.
Team Collaboration & Therapeutic Support: Serve as an essential member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, contributing to a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. Conduct safety and observation rounds and assist with facilitating therapeutic groups and patient activities. Support patients in developing coping skills, healthy behaviors, and treatment engagement.
This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 10 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. This position is an ETA Established Term Appointment. It is a temporary position for 10 months with possible extensions. It supplements the permanent work force and could be scheduled for day, and afternoon shifts as well as weekends and holidays. There is no guarantee of hours, but ETA LPN's may work 25-80 hours per a 2 week pay period based on their availability and the needs of the hospital. This position is located within our 1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above.

Qualifications:
Position Qualifications: License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code; MDS certification issued by ANNAC (i.e. American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination).
