High School English Teacher

Full-Time | 2026–27 School Year

We are partnering with a private high school in Wisconsin seeking a full-time English Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. This position includes teaching Accelerated Freshman English, Accelerated Sophomore English, and AP Language & Composition within a collaborative, student-focused department.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents, is committed to academic excellence, and can effectively support advanced learners. This educator will use student data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach Accelerated Freshman, Accelerated Sophomore, and AP Language courses
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment
• Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student growth
• Collaborate with English department colleagues on curriculum and instructional practices
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Wisconsin DPI teaching license preferred (non-licensed candidates may be considered)
• Strong background in secondary English/Language Arts instruction
• Ability to analyze student data and adjust teaching strategies
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Experience working with high school students preferred
