SUMMARY

The F&B Cashier position is responsible for greeting and assisting guests with placing and paying for orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides excellent and personalized service to our guests by engaging with each guest in a professional and courteous manner. Takes food and drink orders accurately and efficiently. Ensures orders are delivered to the guest in a timely manner and all requested items are accurate. Exhibits a strong knowledge of the menu and stays up to date on changes and specials. Explains the menu to guests and provides assistance with questions or concerns. Works as a team with all staff members to ensure an excellent guest service experience. Works with the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders and charge guests for their orders. Handles credit card and cash transactions and ensures accurate change.Follows all responsible service of alcohol guidelines including service times, monitoring for signs of intoxication, and checking identification for age requirements. Performs standard stocking of front work area. Sets up and maintains cleanliness and organization of work area according to food safety standards and sanitation requirements. Performs all duties in a positive, professional manner. Maintains a clean and professional appearance according to company standards. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to perform all assigned tasks. Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Experience with POS in a restaurant, bar, or casino preferred. 1 year of experience cash handling preferred. Excellent guest service skills are required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to create a positive guest experience with both internal and external guests. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks. Must be detailed oriented. Must be able to work individually or with a team as necessary to perform assigned tasks. Must be able to work safely and efficiently. Must be able to add, subtract, and multiply. Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License. Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible service of alcohol and food handler certification through Prairie Flower training courses.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand and walk for entire shift. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Uses hands grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Must have the dexterity to hold and maneuver food trays, plates, and glasses. Consistently required to reach with hands and arms, and balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud on the casino floor. Must be able to operate in mentally stressful situations. This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
