Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and/or satisfy the productivity, performance or qualification standards for the position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The bartender's main job is to know the standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately.Occasionally, members may have their own preferences or recipes for a bartender to follow.Bartenders also check the identification of members and guests at the bar to ensure that they meet the minimum drinking age.Bartenders take drink orders and serve drinks using the Club's POS computer system to charge members for their drinks.In the restaurant, bartenders fill drink orders placed, but the beverages are usually served by Servers.Bartenders also have additional duties; they arrange bottles and barwares, wash glasses and clean the bar. Bartenders also remove empty bottles and trash and replace empty beer kegs.Bartenders stock the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar.They keep track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, reporting what is needed to the Food and Beverage Manager.INCIDENTAL DUTIES:The above list of essential job functions describes the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
