Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in data, fiber optics, access control, security and CCTV systems. This role is a dynamic mix of new installations, service calls, and project leadership. You will work on diverse projects in commercial environments, including retail, professional offices (medical, legal), and warehouses. This position requires a professional who can work effectively both independently and as a leader within a team.

A Typical Day Includes:

• Starting at our office around 7:00 AM to review the day's work, gather materials, and prepare your company-provided vehicle.
• Traveling to customer sites to perform new installations, system add-ons, or troubleshoot existing low voltage systems.
• Serving as a project lead on-site, guiding assistant technicians to ensure work is completed to our high standards and on schedule.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with our team, clients, on-site contacts, Project Managers, and manufacturer technical support.
• Documenting your work daily with high-quality photos and videos to ensure quality control.
• Maintaining your assigned company vehicle and ensuring it is serviced as needed.
• Schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8 hour work days. Weekends as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, Fiber Optic), access control systems, security and CCTV/surveillance equipment.
• Execute projects ranging from new construction build-outs and remodels to simple service calls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and project plans.
• Work collaboratively with Project Managers to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
• Provide a best-in-class customer service experience.
• Adhere to all safety standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Proven field experience with low voltage systems, specifically with Data, Fiber Optics, Access Control, Security and CCTV.
• Leadership: Ability to work independently and lead a small team on a job site.
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills; ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-paced environment while adhering to installation standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism: Positive demeanor, friendly, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, and operate in various commercial construction environments.
• Mandatory: Must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a comprehensive background check, and possess documentation proving authorization to work in the U.S.
