Job Overview Title: CDL‑A Over‑the‑Road Driver Company: Miller Truck Lines, LLC (family‑owned, headquartered Tulsa, Oklahoma) Locations: Brunswick and other areas served by partnering carriers Experience: Minimum 6 months of tractor‑trailer experience (6–12 months for most carriers) Schedule: Flexible home time, ranging from daily to monthly home time depending on route and carrier Average Pay: $1,500 per week (many drivers earn $70,000–$100,000+ annually) Miller Truck Lines works with multiple reputable carriers across the country and can connect drivers with companies hiring in their local area. Drivers are treated as part of the team, and the company offers a variety of routing options, including domestic and regional over‑the‑road (OTR) routes, flatbed, reefer, and specialized freight. Responsibilities Operate a Class A commercial tractor‑trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of vehicle, cargo, and equipment. Maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation. Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is properly secured and documented. Communicate regularly with dispatch to report route status, delays, or incidents. Follow all Hours of Service requirements and safety standards. Perform other safety‑related tasks such as monitoring DOT and company safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting hazards. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL (or Class B for certain assignments) in good standing. Minimum 6–12 months of verifiable CDL‑A driving experience (varies by carrier). Good driving record, typically no more than three moving violations in the past three years. Must be 22 years of age or older (some carrier requirements may be 21). Ability to pass a DOT physical and meet DOT medical standards. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compensation & Benefits Average weekly pay of $1,500 (with some carriers offering up to $90,000+ annually). $500 sign‑on bonus (some carriers provide additional orientation or “hot‑start” pay for travel and lodging). Flatbed and reefer opportunities with variable target pay. Ptu‑and‑stop pay for additional stops and layover.
