Speech Language Pathologist
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist that is available for the 2025/2026 School Year.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Communication Disorders, Speech, or Speech Audiology.
- Illinois Speech Language Pathologist (PEL) Professional Education License through ISBE
- Hold, or be able to obtain, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
- Willingness to participate in events outside normal hours, travel as needed and engage actively in the role.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
Job Description:
- Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location
- Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- Contract follows the academic district calendar
Position Overview: Provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills.
Essential Functions:
- Identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success.
- Conduct individual and group therapy using curriculum-based materials and provide progress reports.
- Supervise support staff, consult with educators, and provide alternative communication systems.
- Create engaging learning environments and promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Explore individual learning needs, develop personalized solutions, and implement curriculum goals.
- Model mature behavior, uphold values, and encourage character development.
Salary: $2,250 – $2,775 /week
