Position Overview As a Prep Cook at Centro Woodfired Pizzeria, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your meticulous preparation of ingredients and dedication to quality will contribute to the creation of exceptional dishes. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and be an integral part of our pizzeria’s success. Key Responsibilities Prepare and portion ingredients, such as vegetables, meats, and cheeses, with precision and attention to detail. Assist in the creation of signature sauces, dough, and other essential components of our woodfired pizzas. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored. Collaborate with the kitchen team to support a seamless flow of food preparation. Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Engage with guests, answering questions about our ingredients and culinary techniques. Adapt to varying prep requirements to accommodate daily specials and seasonal changes. Assist with the cleanliness and organization of the overall kitchen area. Embrace a positive and collaborative work environment that values teamwork and creativity. Qualifications A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to quality. Strong attention to detail and precision in food preparation. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and basic culinary techniques. Team player with good communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen procedures and standards. Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar culinary role is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
