Maintenance Specialist / Carpenter for Private Estate (Full-Time, Monday through Friday) A private family is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and multifaceted tradesperson to support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of a private residence and its surrounding property in the New York City area. This ideal candidate is an expert with strong, hands‑on expertise across multiple construction and building systems and the ability to manage routine repairs and custom projects with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities General carpentry, including drywall cutting and patching, painting; HVAC systems maintenance; small electrical and wiring projects; plumbing diagnostics and maintenance; specialty projects and troubleshooting; general property upkeep and preventative maintenance; supports renovations and developments; assists with groundskeeping, ensuring the residence and its systems run smoothly at all times. Qualifications & Skills Demonstrated experience as a skilled tradesperson (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and/or general construction) Expert knowledge of building systems, tools, materials, and safety practices Proactive attitude and hands‑on approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs through effective, creative solutions Detail‑oriented and organized with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing demanding manual labor Professional demeanor with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and vendors Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is a significant plus This is a year‑round, full‑time position with a starting salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 per year and a generous benefits package.
