Job Title

Travel RN – Inpatient Medical Surgical (Nights)

Location

Saint Louis, MO | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a Medical/Surgical inpatient unit
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
• Operate unit equipment including Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines; document care using EPIC EMR
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs; expected to work every other weekend as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Must be available the full orientation week; night shift orients on day shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience caring for post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patient populations
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to provide care to a diverse patient population
