Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed intermediate PCU/medical-surgical unit serving pre- and post-operative transplant, nephrology, and urology patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate care, including those on bedside cardiac monitors and central monitoring systems-
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 depending on unit needs during night shift
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as needed, including during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for transplant patients (liver, kidney, kidney/pancreas)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching, or Magnet-designated facility
