Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location : Sacramento, CA- 95816
Duration : 03 Months (With possible extension)
Shift: 6:30AM-3:30PM with 1 hour lunch

We are seeking a Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) to provide professional and compassionate patient service while performing accurate phlebotomy and specimen collection . The role involves collecting and processing clinical and forensic specimens, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures and safety standards.
• Perform pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy with professionalism and patient sensitivity.
• Process and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing.
• Verify patient information and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Provide a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and employees.
• Complete daily activities accurately and on time with minimal supervision.
• Follow confidentiality requirements and maintain the accuracy of patient information.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and represent the organization positively.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following established laboratory practices.
• Be flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience Required
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision
• Ability to perform accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
