Retail Salesperson

The Greer Group is seeking a salesperson for our jewelry client located in Raleigh. This is a full time, temporary to permanent position, and the need is immediate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a highly personalized luxury retail experience for customers shopping for fine jewelry, engagement rings, watches, anniversary gifts, and heirloom pieces
  • Build long-term customer relationships rooted in trust, education, and exceptional service reflective of a multi-generational family-owned jeweler
  • Guide customers through consultative sales conversations including diamond education, bridal jewelry selection, custom jewelry projects, and redesign opportunities
  • Assist clients with custom jewelry consultations by gathering inspiration, reviewing design concepts, coordinating rendering approvals, and communicating project timelines
  • Coordinate jewelry repair intake including ring sizing, stone tightening, rhodium plating, pearl restringing, engraving, watch repair, and restoration services
  • Carefully inspect jewelry during intake and pickup while documenting repair details and customer requests accurately
  • Educate customers on jewelry care, maintenance recommendations, warranties, and repair options
  • Support bridal and engagement clients through milestone purchases with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Process sales transactions, financing paperwork, layaways, special orders, and gift wrapping with accuracy and professionalism
  • Follow up with clients regarding custom orders, repairs, special requests, and incoming merchandise
  • Maintain showroom presentation including merchandising, display cleanliness, inventory organization, and security protocols

Ideal Background:

  • Luxury retail, fine jewelry, hospitality, or relationship-driven sales experience preferred
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work with customers during meaningful life moments
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high-value merchandise carefully and confidentially
  • Comfortable working in a consultative, non-pushy sales environment
  • Professional communication skills with a polished and welcoming presence
  • Maintain deep product knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, luxury watches, and current jewelry trends
  • Uphold the reputation and customer-first culture of a long-standing Raleigh family business
