A rewarding, contract-based opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist with a strong background in pediatric and school-based settings near Morganton, NC. The role is full-time, spanning five days per week, and offers the chance to make a significant impact within a supportive school environment. Candidates must bring energy, professionalism, and flexibility to best meet the needs of their student caseload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active North Carolina SLP license required
- North Carolina Teaching Certification
- SLP-CCC preferred, with experience in healthcare or school settings
- Recent background working with pediatric populations in an educational context
- Skilled in evaluation, treatment planning, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language therapy services to students in a school-based setting
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain all documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for children receiving therapy
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in staff meetings
