Manager, Nursing Triage and MPAR

Hourly Pay Range: $43.69 - $67.72 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Location: Arlington Heights, Illinois Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am- 4:30pm Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department needs A Brief Overview: As the Manager of Nursing Triage, you will assume a crucial role in overseeing and managing the nursing triage and medication prior auth and refill (MPAR) teams. You will lead a team of skilled nurses, medical assistants, medication technicians, and other healthcare professionals. In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, budget responsibilities, quality assurance, mentorship, training, and participating in Ambulatory Navigation Center (ANC) initiatives. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations. This position reports directly to Director, Ambulatory Navigation Center, and works in collaboration with to the Program Director for the Ambulatory Navigation Center. What you will do: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing/clinical staff in the triage team and other healthcare professionals in the MPAR team. Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols, safety standards, and the delivery of high-quality care. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals. Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee the triage and MPAR processes for patients, ensuring timely assessment, evaluation, and initial care based on clinical judgment. Prioritize patient needs and allocate resources accordingly. Lead quality improvement initiatives within the triage and MPAR teams. Participate in audits and compliance efforts, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing change management and/or corrective actions to improve patient outcomes. Efficiently manage department resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for budgeting and financial planning in line with ANC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to maintain and/or enhance their clinical skills and knowledge in triage. Oversee accurate and complete documentation of patient assessments, triage decisions, interventions, medication refills and prior authorizations in electronic health records. Ensure strict adherence to all state and federal regulations, as well as ANC and Endeavor policies and procedures. Maintain a safe and compliant care environment. Collaborate with other departments, including but not limited to medical group offices, emergency services, urgent care, and telehealth teams, to coordinate patient care and optimize the patient experience. Responsible for meeting ANC KPIs, metrics as determined by ANC leadership. Other duties as assigned by ANC leadership. What you will need: Bachelors Degree Nursing Required Or Masters Degree Nursing Preferred 5+ Years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois.
