MRI Technologist (PRN)

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services through independent judgment and technical expertise. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and performs a wide range of MRI procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy. Key Responsibilities: Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patient conditions prior to exams. Follow protocols for contrast media administration and ensure accurate patient identification. Review images for quality and respond to emergency situations. Assist with procedures, prepare trays, and operate imaging equipment effectively. Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and maintain excellent customer service. Ensure equipment functionality, maintain a clean environment, and adhere to safety standards. Document accurately, transmit images promptly, and support department operations. Qualifications & Skills: Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion. ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification required. Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI settings. Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail and professionalism. Knowledge of MRI procedures, anatomy, and safety protocols.
