Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Step-Down

Contract | Full-Time | Days (0645–1915) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including a 3-bed Step-Down ICU and 12-bed telemetry unit
• Perform telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring
• Operate unit equipment including Meditech charting, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring systems
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
• Float to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Ability to work day shift hours (0645–1915) with an expected schedule of 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• Willingness to float to all acute units within the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience
• ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• NIHSS certification
