Role Purpose

The Plant HR Manager serves as a strategic and hands-on business partner to the Winston-Salem plant leadership team. This role is responsible for leading and administering a broad range of human resources functions, including talent management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, staffing, and health and safety support programs.

The successful candidate will align HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives while fostering an engaging, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership and the Winston-Salem HR team to align people strategies, workforce initiatives, and HR priorities with operational and business goals.

• Manage and execute core HR processes, including talent planning and development, leadership training programs, performance management, Performance Development Reviews (PDR), Annual Salary Reviews (ASR), compensation planning, diversity initiatives, educational assistance, and monthly headcount reporting.

• Lead the site’s training and development function, including leadership of the training and development team, employee training programs, leadership development initiatives, and New Employee Orientation (NEO) for employees and contractors.

• Own and execute the Winston-Salem culture strategy, supporting employee engagement, team effectiveness, organizational development, and continuous improvement.

• Partner with business leaders to identify workforce and organizational needs and develop or deliver training programs that address operational challenges.

• Manage contractor processes, including onboarding, compliance requirements, and monthly contractor headcount tracking.

• Lead the staffing and hiring process to support workforce plans and plant operational needs.

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with business needs and applicable laws.

• Lead preparation for internal and external audits and ensure the site remains compliant with HR-related requirements.

• Administer the site’s Rewards and Recognition program, including tracking monthly program spending.

• Manage the Affirmative Action Plan and ensure all required documentation, reporting, and compliance activities are maintained.

Experiences/Education - Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with 7–8+ years of progressive HR experience; or

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with 4–7+ years of progressive HR experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices, policies, and applicable federal and state employment laws.

• Experience supporting a manufacturing, plant, industrial, or similarly fast-paced operational environment is strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.

• Strong leadership, coaching, change management, and employee relations capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.

• Ability to drive process improvements, support organizational change, and promote a positive workplace culture.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based tools.

The range for this position is $124,078.00 - $170,608.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
