RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

/n

• Work 3x12 hour shifts per week
/n• 15-bed emergency unit in critical access hospital setting
/n• General emergency department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
/n• Patient ratio of 4:1 during days, nights, and weekends
/n• Daily census of 60 patients with 24 total rooms available
/n• 12 hours of orientation provided
/n• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
/n• TNCC certification preferred
/n• Previous charge experience preferred
/n• Cerner charting system experience preferred
/n• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
/n• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required including blood product administration, central line care, and starting IVs
/n• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration required
/n• Neurological and psychiatric care experience including CVA management
/n• Must maintain isolation precautions and perform triage duties
/n• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is 100% required
/n• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
/n• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
/n• Local Indiana residents are not accepted for this position
