Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations at a 106-bed skilled nursing facility . This leadership role requires prior Director of Nursing (DON) or equivalent supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility (no exceptions) . A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available (limited time, two-year payout).
• The Director of Nursing manages the facility's nursing program in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies.

• Travel Required: Yes, Occasionally

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN Preferred).
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory role in a skilled nursing facility.

• Conduct daily rounds to assess resident care and staff performance.
• Oversee hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions for nursing staff.
• Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet facility needs.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory standards.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in facility committees.
• Monitor department budget, control expenses, and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Investigate and resolve resident, family, and employee concerns promptly.
• Facilitate staff development through training, competency evaluations, and recognition programs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Serve as acting Administrator in their absence.
• Ensure timely follow-up on pharmacy, dietary, and physician consultations.

• Knowledge of state/federal nursing regulations and best practices.
