leading full-service investment banking and capital markets firm is looking for a highly skilled SQL Server Developer with expertise in AWS Redshift and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable database solutions, migrating data to the cloud, and developing BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable database solutions, migrating data to the cloud, and developing BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and AWS Redshift databases to support data warehousing and reporting needs.
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various data sources to AWS Redshift.
- Collaborate with business and data teams to gather requirements and develop Business Intelligence solutions using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Optimize SQL queries and Redshift performance for large datasets.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability of data infrastructure in the cloud environment.
- Implement and maintain data models for reporting and analytics.
- Automate data processing workflows and monitor ETL processes.
- Stay updated with AWS cloud services, BI tools, and industry best practices.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift and related AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.).
- Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, AWS Glue, or similar).
- Proficiency in developing and optimizing complex SQL queries for large datasets.
- Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Amazon QuickSight.
- Understanding of data warehouse design and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema).
- Knowledge of cloud security and best practices for data management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud data migration from SQL Server to AWS Redshift covered by a BI component
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with big data tools like Athena, EMR, or Redshift Spectrum.
- AWS certification is a plus (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Data Analytics Specialty).
