Bilingual Clinical Operations Pharmacist

Exemption Status: United States of America (Exempt). Salary range: $108,515 - $152,464 - $196,412. Pay scale information may vary based on experience, education, qualifications, and other factors. Job Description The ideal candidate is bilingual, with proficiency in English and Spanish. The Bilingual Clinical Operations Pharmacist provides analytic and technical support to optimize the clinical quality and cost-effectiveness of drug and medical therapy for client plan sponsors and their members. The role focuses on rational management of drug utilization, employing analytical tools and an evidence-based approach to achieve lower net cost, better health outcomes, and higher levels of satisfaction for plan sponsors and members. Responsibilities Manage operational aspects of clinical operations, strategic initiatives, projects, and programs. Collaborate across the organization and support analytic, technical, and operational aspects of clinical management. Identify and promote performance improvement opportunities using data and performance indicators. Provide clinical subject matter expertise and combine with business operations knowledge to ensure clinical and business appropriateness and success. Support analytics for evidence-based interventions and communication programs to clients. Coordinate clinical utilization analyses and presentations to clients. Support and implement DUE, DUR, and QI programs to meet plan, HEDIS, and NCQA guidelines. Coordinate client support of drug formulary and preferred drug lists during plan sponsor implementation. Support initiatives to optimize rebate administration and maintain lower net cost goals. Support MedImpact P&T Committee quarterly meetings and weekly MediSpan drug updates. Respond to client needs promptly, manage difficult situations, solicit feedback, and meet commitments. Client Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Manage difficult or emotional client situations. Respond promptly to client needs and requests for service. Solicit client feedback to improve service. Qualifications Education and/or Experience – PharmD and 3+ years of experience (or equivalent), plus 1 year as a subject matter expert. Computer Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Excel, and relational databases. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Registered Pharmacist in California (or equivalent). Other Skills and Abilities – Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing); advanced Excel; Access, SQL or Python preferred; experience with PBM or health plans; disease management and/or drug cost management programs. Reasoning and Analytical Skills Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and apply mathematical concepts (percentages, ratios, proportions) in real-world contexts. Core business hours Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm. Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays when required. Travel Domestic and international travel up to 10% required. Valid passport and ability to leave the United States necessary.
