Mail Dispatch Associate 1st Shift

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 9am-5:00pm Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Shift: 1st Shift We are seeking dependable, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Mail Dispatch Associates. This position is responsible for accurately sorting, separating, stacking, and preparing mail trays for transportation to the Post Office or other PBI locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Separate, sort, and stack trays of mail according to the labels on each tray.
• Place and organize mail trays onto pallets for transportation.
• Shrink-wrap completed pallets securely.
• Sleeve mail trays as required.
• Load trucks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and operational instructions.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings while working in an area shared with forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Assist with other warehouse and mail-processing duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to remain alert and aware of moving equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Basic English comprehension is required to understand and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and other operational directions communicated in English, regardless of the employee's native language.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Work Environment This position is performed in a fast-paced warehouse or mail-processing environment. Employees may work around forklifts, electric pallet jacks, pallets, trucks, and other moving equipment. Maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all safety guidelines is essential at all times.
