Project Manager

Location: Chicago Salary: $140,000–$180,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits About the Company Our client is a leading privately owned developer, owner, and operator of mission-critical data center infrastructure. They design, build, and manage high-performance facilities supporting some of the world's largest technology and enterprise organisations. With strong long-term investment and an experienced leadership team, the business is expanding rapidly across North America and is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of major data center developments. The Opportunity Reporting to senior leadership, you'll take ownership of complex data center construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. You'll manage delivery across schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives while coordinating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and key project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage data center construction projects through the full lifecycle, from planning to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting. Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors. Support contractor procurement, including RFPs, bid reviews, and negotiations. Review designs and provide constructability, cost, and scheduling feedback. Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement schedules, documentation, and change orders. Monitor progress, contractor performance, and project risks. Partner with Health & Safety teams to maintain safe project delivery. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. About You You'll bring: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of construction project management experience across commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects. Data center construction experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls. Experience with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
