Moses Lake is a city in Grant County, Washington with a population of approximately 20,000. Moses Lake is the largest city in Grant County. The city anchors the Moses Lake Micropolitan area, which includes all of Grant County and is part of the Moses Lake–Othello combined statistical area.

Moses Lake, on which the city lies, is made up of three main arms over 18 miles (29 km) long and up to one mile (1.6 km) wide. It is the largest natural body of fresh water in Grant County and has over 120 miles (190 km) of shoreline covering 6,500 acres. Before it was dammed in the early 1900s and then incorporated into the Columbia Basin Project, Moses Lake was a smaller shallow lake. To the south of the town is the Potholes Reservoir and the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge that has a number of seep lakes and vast amounts of migratory birds and other fauna natural to the area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Work both independently and as a member of a healthcare team to provide optimal services to a population of financially disadvantaged youth, ranging from 16 to 24 years in age.
• Perform clerical duties, as required, such as: answering telephone calls; maintain office files; entering treatment and charges on patient encounter forms; assuring daily that all charts and x-rays are ready for patients
• Seat patients, adjust chair and prepare patient for dentist; develop, mount and file x-ray films.
• Prepare and mix temporary treatment materials.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments for set ups; fill, drain and clean sterilizer; prepare supplies.
• Assist faculty and Dentist in various fundamental four-handed techniques, such as correct chair positioning and instrument exchanges.
• Ensure dental equipment is properly cleaned and schedule for maintenance.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Provide student services in such a manner to obtain positive student satisfaction survey results as determined by Job Corps.

Requirements:

• 2 years of dental assistant experience or equivalent

Period of Performance: June 15, 2021-May 31, 2026 (5-year contract)
