The role combines defensive and protective driving with low-profile, concealed-armed executive protection in corporate travel, and event environments.Assignments are irregular by design: airport transfers, principled movements, advance and follow-car, surge coverage, travel days, and short-notice fill-ins. Operators must present as polished, discreet professionals who can shift between local chauffeur-grade service and protective function without drawing attention.Primary MarketsNew York (NYC metro and surrounding counties as assigned)Miami / South FloridaWashington, D.C. and the National Capital RegionCandidates may be rostered in one primary market or, if licensed and available, on a multi-market surge list. Interstate or overnight travel is assignment-specific and paid as briefed.Essential DutiesPerform protective driving: route selection, timing, countersurveillance awareness, vehicle positioning, safe arrivals and departures, and emergency vehicle handling within legal limits.Provide low-profile close protection during movements, residences, hotels, offices, venues, and transit hubs.Conduct or support advances: venue, hotel, restaurant, route, and parking reconnaissance; identify choke points, medical facilities, and alternate egress.Maintain continuous situational awareness; report anomalies through the designated chain of command.Manage principal logistics and vehicle readiness.Operate company, client, or rental vehicles in accordance with policy; complete vehicle and equipment checks before and after each shift.Carry a concealed firearm only when lawfully licensed for that jurisdiction, assigned to an armed post, and operating under company weapons policy.Protect client confidentiality, itineraries, residences, family information, and proprietary details. Write concise after-action notes, time sheets, mileage, and incident reports before end of assignment.Coordinate with detail leads, residential teams, venue security, law enforcement liaison when directed, and medical support.Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and communication with principals, family members, household staff, and corporate hosts.Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years executive protection, dignitary protection, protective driving, or closely related armed security / law-enforcement / military experience.Documented protective or advanced driving training (e.g., BSR, ESI, IMS, Vehicle Dynamics, or equivalent agency/military EVOC with protective context).Valid U.S. driver license with clean record; ability to be insured on company and rental policies.Ability to obtain and maintain all licenses required to work armed in the assigned market before any armed shift.Current concealed-carry authorization applicable to the work location, plus any state/city armed-guard endorsement required for on-duty carry in that market.First Aid / CPR / AEDS. work authorization; ability to pass criminal, driving, drug, and reference screening.Smartphone proficiency, discreet comms discipline, and ability to use company scheduling / GPS / reporting tools.Professional appearance suitable for C-suite, family office, and high-end hospitality environments.Preferred QualificationsPrior EP for corporate principals, UHNW families, visiting executives, or entertainment/sports talent.Formal EP school or agency PSD / dignitary protection pipeline.Medical upgrade: TCCC, TECC, or EMT.Experience with armored or up-armored sedans/SUVs and discreet follow-car tactics.Existing good standing on NY, FL, and/or DC armed rosters.Working ConditionsPart-time and ad hoc. Hours include early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice callouts. No guaranteed minimum hours unless a separate retainer is executed.Long periods of waiting, walking, standing, and driving in dense urban traffic. Must lift and load luggage and equipment (generally up to 40–50 lbs).Business or smart-casual attire unless a specific detail standard is briefedWork may include residences, aircraft FBOs, hotels, restaurants, offices, outdoor venues, and vehicles. Outdoor weather exposure in all three markets.Occasional overnight or multi-city travel when briefed and accepted.Compensation and StatusCompetitive hourly or day-rate compensation commensurate with market, arming status, vehicle responsibility, and notice period. Overtime, travel days, per diem, and mileage treated per assignment brief and applicable wage-and-hour law.
