Collections Assistant

Description Prepare paperwork necessary to process bankruptcies and garnishments. Follow established guidelines to review and update account status. Assist in force place insurance. Compose letters and emails to attorneys using proper grammar. Process transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist in ensuring Bank is in compliance with state and federal regulations. Will be required to contact past due customers. May be required to appear in court with Collections Officer Must follow all policies and procedures outlined by the Bank. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Job related experience preferred but not required. Graduation from high school or equivalent GED Provide exceptional service to customers and co-workers Maintain a high standard of professionalism Good listening/problem solving skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (including the meaning and spelling of words and rules of composition and grammar).
