Job Summary

The Accountant/Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping, as well as monthly and quarterly reconciliations for accounts. To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
• Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
• Enter data, maintain records and financial statements.
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
• Supply needed financial reports to the person in charge.
• Perform journal entries, maintain detailed ledger records.
• Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
• Establish records of accounts and input entries into the appropriate accounts.
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Protect organization\'s value by keeping information confidential.
• Prepare accounting records, including financial statements, or other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Control expenses and other accounting information.
• Provide outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years proven experience with TOPS (only candidates with proven TOPS experience will be considered).
• MS Office, Outlook, and proficient in Excel.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: 50k to 55k per year based on qualifications and experience.
• Vacation: 1 week after the first year; 2 weeks after the third year.
• We also close early or have full-day closures around major holidays as extra paid days off.

Schedule and Location

• Monday to Friday
• In Office — This is not a remote position
